first thing that you need to do is calibrate you tachometer
to your engine size as follows: If your car has a 4 cylinder
engine then clip the two looped wired at the back of the
tack with the help of wire cutters while if you have a 6
cylinder engine then clip only the brown wire. For 8
cylinder engine, there is no need to clip any of the
wires.
Next thing that you need to do is run the
red wire through the backside of the tachometer towards
the fuse box of your vehicle. In the fuse box, select an
open switched source of power to connect the red wire to.
Most of the fuse boxes have quite a few different
positions that let you connect a wire with a spade
connector to them. Go through the owner’s manual for a
key that tells you what is available in the fuse
box.
Strip about 3/8 inch of insulation from
the end of the red wire with the help of wire strippers
and then insert that wire into a crimp-on spade
connector. Then crimp the connector onto the wire by
using a pair of crimping pillars. After that, insert the
connector to the slot that you selected in the fuse
box.

wire using a crimp-one wire tap to this wire and close
both the halves of the connector around a white wire and

cover on the closed connector.
